Horos AM hires Generali Spain's head of equity investments

Horos Asset Management expands its team. The value asset management firm has added Juan Luis Fresneda to its management team , having reached €260 million in assets and surpassed the 10,000-member threshold. He will thus join the team comprised of Javier Ruiz, Alejandro Martín, and Miguel Rodríguez, strengthening the firm's signature model of collaborative decision-making.

With the arrival of Fresneda, the Spanish asset manager, which has grown 90% in the last twelve months, gains the flexibility to continue expanding in the future and to explore the creation of new products that complement its current offering, which consists of two investment funds (Horos Value Iberia and Horos Value Internacional), a pension plan (Horos Internacional PP), and two employment plans (Horos Internacional Empleo and Horos Internacional Autónomos).

Fresneda has nearly 15 years of experience in asset management. Before joining Horos AM, he was Head of Equity Investments in Spain for Generali. Previously, he held the position of Head of Investments at Grupo PSN , where he previously worked as an analyst and manager of equity, mixed, and debt pension funds. He also spent part of his career at Banco Sabadell , in the institutional fixed-income distribution area. He holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from Pablo de Olavide University and a Master's degree in Stock Market and Financial Markets from the IEB.

This signing comes at a time of expansion for Horos AM. Through August 30, 2025, the asset manager recorded €66 million in net inflows , compared to €15.5 million for the same period in 2024, with a monthly average of €8 million. Among the vehicles, the growth of the Horos Value Internacional fund, a five-star Morningstar fund, stood out, with €51 million in inflows between January and August, and the pension plans, which recorded an increase in assets of €11 million.
