Carolina Mejía praises the choice of the Cabo Rojo Consortium as a partner

Carolina Mejía described this Sunday as promising the selection of the Cabo Rojo Consortium as a strategic partner of the State for the operation and maintenance of the Cabo Rojo Tourism Project, a company headed by the Puntacana Group .
According to a press release, the general secretary of the governing party and mayor of the National District toured the project's infrastructure , starting with the Cabo Rojo Port , and then moving on to the nursery of the same name, where the endemic flora species of Pedernales are reproduced and preserved.
"The private minority partner has experience developing a destination as important as Punta Cana , where it has guaranteed tourism, real estate, and hotel development , along with the preservation of natural resources. The same should happen in Cabo Rojo ," Mejía urged from the project's incubator .
The nursery houses approximately 70,000 plants of more than 42 species , which have been removed from the hotel lots and will be reintroduced into the landscaping and other green areas of the project.

Mejía asserted that President Abinader's government, in addition to promoting jobs for residents of the Enriquillo region and especially for all Pedernal residents, has guaranteed the rational use of natural resources in this environmentally sensitive area.
"I know about their commitment to preserving natural resources through the Puntacana Foundation , which has enabled the conservation of native flora and fauna species in the areas of the country where they already operate," Mejía explained.
He pledged to follow up so that the government and the private sector can guarantee environmental preservation alongside the development of more than 50,000 jobs planned for this region.
The Cabo Rojo Tourism Development Project is a flagship tourism project of the Luis Abinader administration and is managed by the Pro-Pedernales Trust , headed by Sigmund Freund.
