A trend known as 'Proof We're Rich' has become popular on platforms like TikTok. It is usually carried out by two or more people, who jokingly show off objects or situations that they consider luxuries.

The dynamic typically takes place in different settings, in which the users recording the video must repeat the phrase and, in an exaggerated manner, associate elements and experiences that are not usually very close to reality.

For their part, two Colombians decided to join the new social media trend, but made some adjustments to the video to highlight aspects that make up the diversity of their surroundings.

In the recording, the young people include fragments of a different clip to make the comparisons more evident. At the beginning, the authors of the original version emphasize that they consider themselves rich because they have a garden.

For their part, Colombians say, "We don't have a garden, but we have a banana tree," while focusing on the fruit. A few seconds later, they add that while they don't have brand-name flip-flops like the other users, they enjoy the company of their cats.

"We don't have any food, but we have some beers," the internet users wrote in their post, responding to the video they used as a reference for the trend. They also mentioned that they can use them at any time.

At the end of the recording, they add , "We don't have a private beach, but we do have a private 'super lake,'" and proudly show off the vast body of water surrounding their home.

“The rich will never understand how wonderful it is to sit and enjoy a lake with a piece of sugar cane,” Elizabeth Vallejo noted in the platform's comments section.

Other people, however, asserted that there is nothing more luxurious in life than living with so many animals in the house, especially if they are cats, so they did not hesitate to congratulate the young people.

"They're more than rich with that beautiful attitude. Being happy with what God humbly gives us is more than rich; it's millionaires," one internet user expressed on social media.
