On the afternoon of last Monday, July 21, 2025, the shocking collision of a Stagecoach double-decker bus into the Barton Aqueduct, a structure that is part of the Bridgewater Canal, in Salford, England, was reported .

According to images posted on social media, the vehicle was traveling along one of the area's streets, but when it attempted to cross under a bridge , its roof tore off, leaving 20 people injured.

Despite the seriousness of the incident, the recordings show the car driver continuing to drive for a few more meters, while a man runs across the road to catch up with him.

According to local media, one of the passengers on top of the bus was ejected during the impact, and three others are under medical observation due to the severity of their injuries.

The remaining 16 victims, meanwhile, required emergency treatment on-site, even though their injuries did not compromise their well-being.

The moment of the accident was captured by a security camera in the area, and the images reveal the concern of the local residents, who, after the crash, did not hesitate to help the passengers.

As for the driver of the vehicle, some British newspapers revealed that authorities managed to arrest the 50-year-old man for "careless driving," but he was later released on bail.

While no further details of the incident are known so far, investigators are investigating the incident to determine what happened and whether the employee is fully responsible.
