The absence of Emilio de Justo and the five bullfights of Morante, the highlights of the April Fair

The absence of Emilio de Justo and the five new signings of Morante de la Puebla are the highlights of the posters for the La Maestranza bullring, which includes the April Fair, six bullfights and the San Miguel Fair, which were presented this morning by the businessman Ramón Valencia.

Daniel Luque is also at the top of the podium, with four bullfights and his debut as a member of the Easter Sunday poster, alongside the bullfighter from La Puebla and Alejandro Talavante.

Two other notable posters are the mano a mano between the young bullfighters Javier Zulueta and Marco Pérez and the alternative of the former in the last San Miguel celebration.

In total, 17 bullfights, a bullfighting show and six bullfights for young bulls have been announced. After the opening of the season on Sunday 20 April, the continuous cycle of bullfights will begin on Sunday 27 and will continue until 11 May, coinciding with the first three bullfights of the San Isidro Fair.

The bullfights will be attended by Talavante, Manzanares, Manuel Escribano, Juan Ortega, Roca Rey, Pablo Aguado and Borja Jimenez in three afternoons. Castella and Perera will be present in two bullfights; and in one, Lama de Gongora, Calerito, Samuel Navalon, Curro Diaz, Ruben Pinar, Roman, El Fandi, David Galvan, Gines Marin, El Cid, Diego Urdiales, Tomas Rufo, Cayetano, David de Miranda, Esau Fernandez and Pepe Moral.

Regarding the announced cattle, there is no more news than the withdrawal of La Quinta by its own decision, in disagreement with the company on the date of its fight. The cattle breeders affirm that they were promised an afternoon in farolillos (from Tuesday May 6 to 11, the big days of the fair) and Pagés had placed them in the preferia. All the others are the usual commercial brands, demanded by the bullfighters, and repeat the bulls of Núñez del Cuvillo, Fermín Bohórquez, Victoriano del Río and Garcigrande.
