Latin American coffee growing is once again making headlines around the world. The renowned magazine TasteAtlas published its list of the best coffee recipes worldwide, with a Latin American country taking first place.
This ranking serves as a culinary guide for lovers of world cuisine. It covers everything from typical dishes to ancient and traditional recipes from each country.
The methodology for this ranking takes into account user ratings on various digital platforms. The list also includes a filter to evaluate ratings that are not considered authentic and are generated by artificial intelligence.

For this ranking, recipes for hot coffee, cold brew coffee, and coffee with local ingredients from each of the cuisines evaluated were considered. In this context, Cuban coffee is positioned as the finest among these 66.
What does the magazine say about Cuban coffee? The expert publication describes this coffee as "a unique type of pre-sweetened espresso, originating in Cuba and known as Cuban coffee, it is often referred to as Cuban espresso, Cuban coffee, Cuban tirada, or Cuban shot. While it enjoys a unique status in Cuba, where it has traditionally been considered the essential social and cultural beverage."
In an interview with Perfect Daily Grind , Cuban coffee expert Martín Mayorga states that "Cuban coffee is a combination of highly concentrated coffee with a lot of sugar, which creates a syrupy, full-bodied beverage."
