Huesca, hangs the 'No tickets' sign to the aroma of basil

The city of Huesca is experiencing unprecedented anticipation for its upcoming bullfighting festival. Tickets are being booked up to record levels, and on two evenings, August 11th and 13th, with Morante and Roca Rey as headliners, the long-awaited "Sold Out" sign has already been posted.

In recent years, the San Lorenzo Fair, now known as the Albahaca Fair, for its intense, aromatic green color that pervades the Huesca capital on its festival days, has been regaining its former splendor after a few hesitant seasons. The arrival of the Tauroemoción company, headed by Alberto García from Aragon, has restored enthusiasm among fans and has also made Huesca a meeting point for enthusiasts from Catalonia and southern France, primarily.

The fair has its first event on Friday, August 8th, with a bullfight without picadors, which is the debut of the most talented students of the Huesca bullfighting school. And starting on the 10th, the main day of the festivities, there will be four bullfights and one bullfight with rejones, with the addition of popular festivities, which this year has boosted the numbers. The bullfight on the 11th, with Morante, Juan Ortega, and Clemente facing bulls from Román Sorando, has already finished its run; as has the one on the 13th, with Joselito Adame, Roca Rey, and Tomás Rufo with bulls from El Pilar; and there are few tickets left for both the bullfight on the 12th and the bullfight with rejones on the 14th.
