Colombian actor John Leguizamo returns to the action and drama scene in the Apple TV+ series 'Humo'.

Actor John Leguizamo returns to the series scene with "Smoke ," a production that focuses on the work of an arson investigator who must work with a detective to stop two arsonists who have literally unleashed hell.
This production stars Taron Eggerton as Dave Gudsen, alongside Jurnee Smollett as police detective Michelle Calderone. Leguizamo plays Ezra Esposito , a character developed by series creator Denis Lehane, who specifically targeted the Bogotá-born actor for the role.

"When I read it, I loved this character who wants to fight for the truth, his career is damaged, he falls to the ground, but he becomes a porn director and survives, and comes back for revenge," he explained in an interview published in the Mexican newspaper El Sol at the end of June of this year.
The criticisms Critics have been kind to this production, which plays on the struggle of opposites united by a common goal and a crime thriller centered around characters who need to put their daily struggles to rest and redeem themselves. Smoke can be streamed on the Apple TV+ streaming platform.
Regarding the proposal, Daniel Feinberg wrote in Variety that despite being a long and at times repetitive series, "it unfolds a fascinating mystery, leaves big ideas missing, and has one of the best casts of the season."

While John Anderson, with a more complex opinion, states that "it delves into so many places that it earns its multi-episode length, its space and its scope."
