Woman arrested for posing as a veterinarian in Coahuila

Silvia "N" , a woman who illegally practiced veterinary medicine , was arrested after several dog bodies were found in a clandestine clinic.

A few days ago, a new topic in Veterinary Medicine caused controversy in Torreón, Coahuila , when a clandestine clinic was discovered, where veterinary and zootechnics were practiced, without a professional license, so municipal authorities proceeded to close the establishment.
This, after a woman reported the death of her pet, following a sterilization surgery performed by Silvia "N", a woman practiced the profession without an official certificate to endorse her.
Elements of the State Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) and the Attorney General's Office of the State of Coahuila de Zaragoza arrived at the scene, where they found a clandestine clinic in Silvia's home, where the hygiene and health conditions were not optimal for the care of pets, and which did not comply with established standards, as well as remains of dogs.

Animal rights activists investigated the woman and discovered that Silvia "N" had a medical surgeon's license , but not a veterinarian's license.
Animal rights activists ask to file complaintsAlthough Silvia "N" was arrested immediately, she was later released due to the lack of formal complaints. Therefore, animal protection organizations asked those affected to go to the authorities to file their complaints so that legal action can be taken.
