They reveal who could replace Gustavo Lema as coach of Pumas

Following Pumas' inconsistent performance in the 2025 Clausura Tournament, its management team is already considering alternatives if its technical director, Gustavo Lema, does not improve his performance in future matches.

According to TUDN reporter Rodrigo Celorio, since the departure of coach Antonio Mohamed, the Pumas board has not stopped considering new technical director options. Celorio added that it was during the broadcast between Pumas and América that it was learned that a replacement for Lema was already in the works.

Among the most prominent candidates to replace Argentine Gustavo Lema are:

Jaime Lozano, who has extensive experience in Liga MX.
Ephrain Juarez, who has extensive knowledge of Pumas.

"There has always been a plan B and C since Tony Mohamed left. Jaime Lozano is obviously one of the options, Efraín Juárez, the issue of the youth team, they know it, having the player in CU, we will see what happens," said the journalist.

If a defeat were to occur in the following rounds of the 2025 Clausura Tournament, the Pumas management will not think twice before making drastic decisions.
