They are going for the sanitation and restoration of 22 kilometers of the Nazas River

Authorities from the Laguna Region and Conagua will work to clean up and restore the Nazas River.
The three levels of government will work to rescue 22 kilometers of the tributary.
In compliance with the commitments established in the National Agreement for the Human Right to Water and Sustainability, the National Water Commission (Conagua), through its Northern Central Basin Authority, is working with authorities in the Laguna Region to implement a project to clean up and restore the Nazas River.
Representatives from the Torreón Environmental Department, the Gómez Palacio Ecology Department, and the operating agencies of Torreón, in Coahuila, and Gómez Palacio and Lerdo, in Durango, participated in the project presentation meeting.
The objectives include the permanent implementation of a campaign to raise awareness, save, use, reuse and care for water.
Conagua also selected a 22-kilometer stretch of the dry riverbed of the Nazas River, where awareness-raising actions, clean-up campaigns and inspection days will be carried out.
The Commission called on the inhabitants of the Laguna Region to avoid throwing garbage and debris into the riverbed, as well as untreated waste discharges. The federal agency indicated that water care is everyone's responsibility.
