According to the police report obtained by Metro Ecuador , the thrown device, suspected to be a grenade, generated a powerful explosion on Logroño Street. This explosion created a shock wave that struck several pedestrians.

Immediate police responseA total of 17 police officers arrived at the scene, including three high-ranking officers and 14 operational technicians.
