The diet with which chef José Andrés lost 14 kilos in just 21 days

The only way to achieve your ideal weight is to follow a healthy diet and engage in regular physical activity . From there, you can make some plans to look your best or lose a few extra pounds. But always under the supervision of a doctor or an expert in the field.

Many people have recently decided to try intermittent fasting , a strategy that has been practiced since ancient times in some religions and cultures and has gained many followers for its health benefits , including the much-desired weight loss .

This is what chef José Andrés , who has lived in the United States for several years, has referred to. He has not hesitated to mention in an interview that he has followed a rather restrictive diet on more than one occasion, in which he only ingests a few calories a day for three weeks.

This is chef José Andrés' restrictive diet.

The chef and founder of the NGO World Central Kitchen shares his thoughts in a conversation with comedian Tom Segura, author of the podcast "Tom Talks," explaining how he fasts for 21 days to control his weight and enjoy greater well-being. The Asturian, a staunch defender of the Mediterranean diet, sees fasting as a great ally for weight loss. "I ate 300 calories a day, with some light soups or vegetables," explains the 56-year-old humanitarian chef, making it clear that this is a very controlled and conscious restriction.

As the charitable and humanitarian chef rightly says about these fasts, which he finds work, they should be carried out under the supervision of a professional so that the guidelines don't end up becoming abusive conditions for the human body and are counterproductive to health.

"You don't feel any pain anywhere in your body," the Asturian says in the interview, in which he elaborates on the feeling his muscles are telling him they're stronger than ever. "You feel incredible, you feel full of energy," explained Andrés, who shared a final reflection: "The day you break the fast, you don't feel like eating ."
