One person was taken to the hospital after suffering burns in a fire that broke out early Wednesday morning, September 10, at a hotel in the capital of Almería. The incident forced the preventive evacuation of nine rooms.
According to information provided by the Andalusian Emergency Agency's 112 emergency service , the fire started around 12:40 a.m. Several witnesses alerted the emergency services after detecting smoke and flames in one of the rooms of a hotel located on Granada Street.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the blaze , along with officers from the Local Police , the National Police , and members of the Civil Protection Service . Medical personnel from the Andalusian Health Service treated one person with burn injuries and transported him to a hospital.
Emergency services sources have confirmed that nine rooms had to be evacuated during the operation. Once the fire extinguishing and ventilation work was completed, guests were able to return to their rooms as normal.
