One of the hospitalized critical patients dies after being burned in one of the fires in León.

A second death was confirmed this Thursday in the fires in Castilla y León , with the death of a 37-year-old man who was trying to put out the flames after jumping from Molezuelas de la Carballeda (Zamora) to the province of León and who remained hospitalized with serious burns.
The man had 85% of his body burned and had arrived at the Río Hortega University Hospital in Valladolid (HURH) from the León University Hospital Complex, as clarified by the Ministry of Health.
According to initial reports, the victim is Jaime Aparicio Vidales, according to the online publication Leonoticias. A friend of the first victim of this fire, businessman Abel Ramos from Bañeza, the two were trying to help with the firefighting efforts when they were caught in two flames.
Five patients remain under treatment at the Río Hortega Hospital in Valladolid following the fires in the region. Three of them remain in the regional referral Burn Unit, all three in critical condition. The other two are in the conventional ICU, one in critical condition and the other in serious condition.
The sixth person injured in the fires, a 78-year-old man who was hospitalized at the León University Hospital with burns covering 17% of his body, was transferred this Wednesday afternoon to the Major Burns Unit at Getafe University Hospital.
