Keep asking: ChatGPT conversations can land you in jail, they warn

Fake company cave.- Your conversations with ChatGPT could land you in legal trouble , an artificial intelligence expert has warned. So think twice before asking him how to delete WhatsApp audios without a trace.
For some time now, artificial intelligence has become a part of our lives (some more than others, but the idea is that), so much so that some people are now unable to make a decision without first consulting these programs. We don't want to say they're centennials... but they are.
And you thought that talking to GPT Chat was innocent?I spent the last 48 hours building on top of the new ChatGPT API.
You can now create a custom ChatGPT from the content of your website using https://t.co/jnCYOLa4iK !
You can then take that chatbot and add it to any website as a chat bubble. @pinecone @LangChainAI @OpenAI pic.twitter.com/b26oRKdAFb

The warning was issued by Sam Altman, executive director of OpenAI, who explained that while AI companies have a privacy policy, they do collect and store information—including conversations with users—to "comply with legal obligations." So, they're reading you, dude.
This means that, if requested by a judicial authority, these companies are required to hand over records of your intense conversations with the bot, which could have legal consequences if you got creative or confessed things you shouldn't have.
If you need another reason to reconsider using an AI chatbot as your therapist, take it from OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.

“ A ChatGPT conversation can be subject to a law enforcement request, just as an Instagram conversation or an email can be,” Altman said during the This Past Weekend podcast, as users sought to speed up their history.
These types of obligations also apply to companies like Amazon and Google, in case you thought "chatting with Alexa" was innocent and could never be used against you. Spoiler alert: it can.
During the talk, the executive mentioned cases where authorities were able to convict citizens of crimes, relying on the database compiled by these AI systems. In other words, if you asked ChatGPT how to make methamphetamine "just out of curiosity," you're already in trouble.
And just in case you missed it: a van crashed into a bar that had an altar to Belinda, and nothing happened to the image.
