Israel destroys a large building in Gaza City after warning it will open the gates of hell with intense fighting.
The Israeli army bombed a high-rise building in Gaza City on Friday after announcing it would target such buildings when linked to Hamas terrorist activities. No deaths or injuries have been reported so far.
"Just now, the army struck a high-rise building being used by the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza City area," the armed forces said in a statement.
They added that Hamas maintained infrastructure to carry out attacks against Israeli forces in the building, which, according to the Army, had a tunnel underneath through which Hamas terrorists operated to carry out attacks and flee from Israeli soldiers.

He asserted that measures were taken in advance to mitigate the impact on civilians and accused Hamas of exploiting civilian infrastructure for its activities.
The Israeli army announced this Friday that "in the coming days" it would begin a wave of attacks against multi-story buildings in Gaza City (northern Gaza Strip) that have "become terrorist infrastructure."
The announcement comes after the army announced yesterday that it already controls 40% of the Gaza capital, which it intends to completely occupy by expelling the million people concentrated in the city to the south.

Over the past week, attacks in Gaza City have intensified.
Since early morning, nearly twenty Palestinians, including seven children, have been killed in Israeli bombings targeting homes and tents, the Wafa news agency reported, citing medical sources.
UN human rights rapporteurs, international organizations, and a growing number of countries are calling Israel's military campaign against the Gaza Strip since the Hamas attacks of October 7, 2023, a genocide, in which more than 60,000 people have died, more than 18,000 of them children.

The announcement comes after the army announced yesterday that it already controls 40% of the Gaza capital , which it intends to completely occupy by expelling the million people concentrated in the city to the south.
In its statement, the military asserts that it "has conducted extensive intelligence gathering operations and identified significant Hamas terrorist activity at various infrastructure sites in Gaza City, particularly in high-rise buildings."
"Furthermore, Hamas's underground terrorist infrastructure is located adjacent to these buildings, designed to facilitate ambushes against Israeli troops and provide escape routes from the command centers established within them," the statement added.

He also stated that in this new bombing campaign against buildings, "they will take numerous measures to minimize the risk of harming the civilian population."
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned today that "the gates of hell" in Gaza are opening and vowed to intensify attacks on the Gaza capital.
"When the door opens, it will not close, and the army's activity will increase until the Hamas murderers accept Israel's conditions for ending the war, beginning with the release of all hostages and disarmament," he threatened.
