Israel bombs Yemen's Hodeida port and warns Houthis: 'You will pay a heavy price.'

The Israeli army bombed the port of Al Hodeida in Yemen on Monday , claiming to have attacked Houthi rebel structures, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed in a statement.
"The army is currently attacking Houthi terrorist regime targets in the port of Hodeida and is vigorously punishing any attempt to restore terrorist infrastructure that has been attacked in the past," Katz said.

The minister asserted that the Houthis "will pay a heavy price for firing missiles at Israel." On Friday, the Houthis fired a missile toward Israel, which was intercepted by the Air Force, although it managed to trigger air raid sirens in various parts of the country, including Tel Aviv.
"As I've already made clear, the law in Yemen is the same as that in Tehran," he added.
In a separate statement, the Israeli military confirmed it had bombed several infrastructure sites it attributes to the rebels, including engineering vehicles used for the reconstruction of the port following previous Israeli attacks, fuel containers, ships used for military activities against Israel, and boats in the area adjacent to the port.
"The port has been used, among other things, to transfer weapons from the Iranian regime, which the Houthi terrorist regime would later use to carry out terrorist attacks against the State of Israel and its allies," the military statement said.
Israel routinely bombs the port of Hodeidah, alleging Houthi activity there, which occasionally fires missiles into Israeli territory. The last Israeli air strike against the port was on July 7, although it also bombed it a month earlier.
It is not yet known whether the bombing has caused any fatalities.
