The son of 'El Chapo' Guzmán was at the restaurant La Leche , owned by chef Poncho Cadena, from MasterChef in 2018, when he was deprived of his freedom.
At that moment, between plates of fish and seafood , waiters and diners, an armed commando arrived at the place and took the Mexican drug trafficker by force.

Iván Archivaldo Guzmán visited La Leche , a place where he made a reservation like “any other customer,” reported Ignacio Cadena, father of chef Poncho Cadena, from MasterChef .
An armed commando arrived at the site and kidnapped the leader of 'Los Chapitos' to take them away by force: “ There was not even a 'little bullet' , nor a threat to anyone. How bad that it happened in my place, but how good that nothing more or worse happened! Very few people had to live through it, the employees did not see anything because they crouched in the back, they hid themselves. They did not see anything , they did not know anyone other than those they had been serving,” Cadena explained at a press conference in 2018.
Drug lord Archivaldo Guzmán revealed more details of his kidnapping to Belgian newspaper Knack in 2018: “I won’t mention names. The only lesson I learned from this is that I can’t trust anyone , not even my own shadow. Fortunately, the people who kidnapped me spared my life. This is the only reason I am still with my family and friends.”
