Grupo Firme cancels performance at Mazatlan Carnival after death threats

TIJUANA.— Once again, Grupo Firme has become a trending topic on social media, after announcing that they are cancelling their performance at the Mazatlán Carnival after receiving death threats via a narco banner.
Through a statement published on social media, the band led by Eduin Caz regretted what happened, but confirmed the cancellation of their show, for security reasons, and not arguing "for reasons beyond their control" like Jorge Medina and Josi Cuén .
“The well-being of those who have accompanied us is and will be the most important thing,” was the phrase with which the regional Mexican group began announcing that they will not be part of the 125th edition of the Mazatlán Carnival .
