After losing in Buenos Aires, Milei promises to dollarize votes so they are worth more.

Buenos Aires Pugilists.- After the defeat of the La Libertad Avanza party in the province of Buenos Aires, Javier Milei proposed dollarizing Argentine votes so that not all votes are equal.
After the results of the Buenos Aires elections were announced, the Argentine leader was quick to offer a "libertarian" solution to explain his party's stumble.

β A vote in pesos is worthless; it's just paper. But if we dollarize the electoral system, every vote will be backed by the United States Federal Reserve. That way, we'll decide whether the vote is in pesos or dollars,β Milei said.
Milei has several proposals for the upcoming electionsAccording to the president, the proposal seeks to "end the electoral caste that manipulates the weight of the vote in local currency, to bring certainty to the upcoming elections."
The idea is that, in the upcoming elections, citizens can go to the polls with votes converted into dollars, and their value will be adjusted to the official exchange rate, the cryptocurrency rate, or whatever Milei comes up with at the time.

Economists consulted indicated that the measure could result in a vote cast at 9 a.m. not being worth the same as one cast at 5 p.m., which would open the door to interpretations about how much a vote is worth depending on the party that receives it.
