A children's choir singing 'Como Camarón': the surprise that left Estopa speechless that 'La Revuelta' had prepared in Callao

This Thursday, La Revuelta had to cancel a special tribute event for Estopa that they had planned to hold in Plaza de Callao, in the center of Madrid (and near the theater where they filmed), but in the end, they couldn't organize it due to security concerns after the performance was leaked. The program, hosted by David Broncano, didn't want to abandon the magic of the moment, however, and from the set, he gave the duo from Llobregat a performance of one of their songs like they'd rarely seen before: through the voices of a children's choir.
It was the man known as The Magic Man (who sends the children to bed on the La 1 program) who took over the on-screen direction of the choir that performed Como Camarón , a hit from the famous debut album Estopa from 1999. The music group only appeared in the final 10 minutes of the program, just after a batucada, majorettes or the return of Ignatius Farray in the section in which the director Jorge Ponce began to tell everything they had done in Callao and made the income tax return of a taxpayer who came out "to return", a dance with which they were going to go out on the street.
Ponce jokingly explained that with the money David and José Muñoz had paid into the treasury, 7,423 children had been enrolled in school, which is why they were going to gather the children of the Las Veredas choir on the rooftop of Callao, dressed in yellow ties and caps, to sing the famous hit . Then the song began to play in unison while Estopa looked on with his hand on his chest.
A minute after the exciting performance ended, the conductor sent them to sleep, and everyone threw themselves on the floor. “This, whether in Callao or on set, is really cool,” said José Muñoz. “It was beautiful,” added Broncano, who explained that they had been preparing for this entire performance since October. David Muñoz, for his part, joked that the children had told him their grandmother liked them before going on to perform the song Ke más nos da , which was also going to be played in Callao.
Hours earlier, the team had explained on social media the reasons why they cancelled the special: “We are sad to announce that, although it was not an Estopa concert nor were any streets going to be closed off as reported yesterday in some media, the scale of everything following the publication of this incorrect information forces us to cancel what we were preparing for today on Gran Vía and Plaza de Callao. We are very sad because we have been working on this for a long time, but right now they are telling us that it would not be safe to do so and although you may not believe it, we are responsible people.” Ponce explained it again on air: “We are sad. We like to do things by surprise. The police told us not to leak the news, because these are public places and things could get out of hand. They didn’t give a damn.” Broncano added that it was not going to be a big concert, nor were they going to close off the street, just a sidewalk next to the programme: “They told us they were prepared for a small event, but not for 10,000 people.” Vertele , seeing that the plan had been messed up, apologized on its website.
La revuelta , which still has a couple of weeks left before the season finale, also had Lara Álvarez as a guest, who announced to Broncano the date of her return to TVE , in La conexión, a six-episode cultural contest that will replace the successful The Floor in prime time on Wednesdays from June 25.
