305 clandestine cameras not linked to C-4 were found and removed in Culiacán

The fight against organized crime in Sinaloa continues and a strong blow was dealt to the criminals by the authorities with the removal of hundreds of unofficial video surveillance cameras . Here are the details.

The 305 video surveillance cameras clandestinely placed in urban equipment in the state capital , which have been removed in four operations by the army, the National Guard and the State Police, none of them were linked or connected to C-4 .

In nine new colonies of the state capital, federal and state forces implemented a fourth operation to track these illegal equipment, in which 20 wireless PTZ cameras were removed, one wireless PTZ with panoramic, tilt and zoom system and 51 wired fixed cameras .

The State Security Spokesperson announced that last Sunday, with the help of ladders, 72 video surveillance cameras, four Access Point devices and four microwave radio link antennas were deactivated .

He reported that in the week that just ended, in four different operations that have been carried out in various sectors of Culiacán , 305 cameras that were illegally placed in public structures have been removed .

It was stated that the institutional video surveillance system has technological security measures to prevent hacking or the creation of mirrors without the corresponding authorization from the competent authority.

The Public Safety Spokesperson pointed out that the installation of these devices by individuals in public structures or places is illegal , so citizens were called upon to anonymously report the installation of these devices that are sometimes used by criminal groups.

Last Saturday, elements of the Army, the National Guard and the State Police, in an operation carried out in eleven colonies of the state capital, disabled a total of 87 video surveillance cameras and 5 Access Point devices .

The actions were deployed in the colonies Albaterra, Alamitos, Los Angeles, Lomas de Rodrigara, Lomas del Magisterio, Stanza, Lombardo Toledano, Lomas del Sol, Los Alamitos, Los Mezcales and Seis de Enero, where clandestine surveillance equipment was located and placed in urban facilities.
