(sda) The Swiss women celebrated their first victory at the European Championships at home. They beat Iceland 2-0 in their second group match in Bern. The goals came from Géraldine Reuteler (76th minute) and Alayah Pilgrim (90th minute).

At the end of the group stage, Switzerland will face Finland on Thursday. A draw will be enough for the Swiss to advance to the quarterfinals. Iceland has been eliminated, while Norway has advanced to the quarterfinals.
