Eleven titles in one season? Barcelona are looking forward to two quadruples and a treble

Hansi Flick and FC Barcelona have secured the Copa del Rey, keeping the dream of four titles in one season alive. Things are going just as well for the Catalans' women's team and U19 team.

It was a perfect three days for FC Barcelona. On Saturday, Hansi Flick's team took the lead with a dramatic 3-2 win after extra time in the Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid . The following day, the women's team faced off in the Champions League semifinals and, just like in the first leg , beat Chelsea 4-1 . The icing on the cake came on Monday, when the U19s secured the Youth League title with a 4-1 victory over Trabzonspor .

On the sporting front, things are going extremely well for the Catalans – with the exception of their reserve team, which is in the midst of a relegation battle in the third division. The club is looking ahead to a whopping eleven titles at the top junior and professional levels this season.

Double quadruple in the professional sector?

Both the women's and men's teams had already secured the Spanish Super Cup in January, each against their fierce rivals Real Madrid, each scoring five goals themselves. Flick and his men celebrated a 5-2 victory , while Pere Romeu's team topped that result just two weeks later, winning 5-0 .

After their second title, the Copa victory this weekend, the men remain firmly on course for the quadruple trophy. Barca lead the league by four points with five games remaining. In the Champions League, Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, and Co. are still three games away from the trophy. This Wednesday evening, they face Inter Milanin the first leg of their semifinal at home.

The women's side collected four titles for the first time last year and could repeat this feat. While they have "only" one title to their name so far, the Supercopa, they are already a step further in the Champions League. There, the Catalans will face Arsenal in the final – also a possible clash for the men's competition. Atletico awaits in the Copa de la Reina final , and in Liga F, Barca are also in first place with one point more than Real Madrid and a game in hand, with four games remaining.

U 19 only needs the league to win the treble

And then there's the U19 team, coached by Juliano Belletti, who, as of Monday, also have two trophies from the current season in their trophy cabinet. Back in March, they emerged victorious in the final of the Copa del Rey Juvenil, the U19 Cup, with a decisive 5-0 victory over Real Zaragoza. After the Youth League victory, the treble dream lives on.

What's missing is the league title. The Spanish league is divided into seven groups of 16 teams each, each of which is played in a home and away round. Barca have already secured first place in their group with one matchday remaining. The top seven teams and the best runner-up will then compete in a final round to determine the Spanish U-19 champion.

The chances are by no means bad that one or two more titles will be added to the five already secured. Either way, Barcelona's trophy cabinet will be growing considerably this season.
