China imposes tariffs on EU pork

The current decision is provisional. It may be adjusted or reversed before the investigation is completed in December.

Dairy products are also at risk

In July, Beijing had already imposed official tariffs on brandy from the EU in the trade dispute with Brussels. However, these tariffs did not apply to companies that had previously entered into price commitments. In August, China also extended an ongoing anti-subsidy investigation into dairy products from the EU until February 2026.
