1 minOf course, laugh lines aren't a bad thing—they add character to our faces. True to the saying: "Every wrinkle tells a story," and who doesn't mind seeing someone laugh a lot? Nevertheless, many people find them, especially nasolabial folds, annoying. We'll show you a simple concealer trick that can visually soften these fine lines in no time.
Almost everyone knows it: the nasolabial fold – the crease between the nose and the corner of the mouth. It's a natural part of the face, but the more pronounced it becomes over time, the more bothersome it becomes, especially when makeup products settle in it.
What exactly are nasolabial folds? The nasolabial fold is the small wrinkle that runs diagonally between the nostrils and the corner of the mouth. For this reason, it is also called the nasolabial fold or nasolabial furrow. This facial wrinkle is generally visible in people of all ages when they laugh, but naturally becomes more pronounced with age. More facial expressions mean more wrinkles. This is mainly due to the fact that after the age of 40, the fat pads in the face decrease, and it is often only then that they are considered disturbing. Of course, genetics also plays a decisive role. As early as the age of 20, the skin gradually begins to lose moisture. With increasing age, the production of new collagen and elastin also slows down, meaning that their breakdown can no longer be adequately compensated for.
This concealer trick really helpsSometimes foundation or bronzer unintentionally accentuates wrinkles. Of course, we want to prevent this and remedy it. This video shows a very simple trick for concealing laugh lines. Apply a light concealer directly into the wrinkle. This reflects the light and softens the shadow. It acts like a small optical lifting effect!
A slightly warmer, slightly darker foundation tone looks particularly flattering on mature skin. But be careful: Darker shades can accentuate lines even more in the wrinkles themselves. It's better to lighten the wrinkle slightly and let the rest of the skin glow naturally.
