Autumn trends 2025: These coats conjure up a slimmer silhouette

Women who have slightly broader hips and shoulders and don't always want to emphasize them benefit particularly from A-line coats. The gently flared cut balances the proportions and makes the waist appear slimmer. If you want to visually lengthen the silhouette, it's best to choose a coat that reaches just above the knee. A hem that's too short, ending right at the widest point, would emphasize the hips. As for matching clothes, dresses or skirts that end just above the coat hem work very well.
