2 minsAutumn, in particular, is the season for cool and cozy outfits. Finding the right coat, however, isn't easy—especially when it has to combine style and fit. We're showcasing the most beautiful cuts that are especially flattering to our silhouettes and sometimes even make us look a little taller.
No matter whether you're tall, short, slim, or curvy—every body deserves to be skillfully showcased. Depending on your body shape, the ideal cut can vary, and some days you might want to conceal more than others. We've got you covered for just those days:

Women who have slightly broader hips and shoulders and don't always want to emphasize them benefit particularly from A-line coats. The gently flared cut balances the proportions and makes the waist appear slimmer. If you want to visually lengthen the silhouette, it's best to choose a coat that reaches just above the knee. A hem that's too short, ending right at the widest point, would emphasize the hips. As for matching clothes, dresses or skirts that end just above the coat hem work very well. This creates a harmonious overall look.
Wrap coatsWrap coats are a great way to create a waist—even if it's not very pronounced. Thanks to the belt, they're truly figure-flattering, creating a feminine hourglass silhouette. If the coat hits above the ankle, it looks particularly good on taller women. Shorter women are better off choosing shorter models that end just above the knee, as this visually lengthens the proportions. The wrap coat is also a true all-rounder when it comes to styling: It can be worn closed or open, easily adapting to different looks and occasions.

Those with a slightly curvier body type can opt for mid-length coats. This length creates a balanced silhouette and can visually balance proportions. The outfit also appears lighter and not too over-the-top, instead elegantly enhancing the figure. A classic trench coat, in particular, belongs in every wardrobe and complements almost any look. The difference the right length can make is often underestimated: A mid-length coat usually ends just below the knee or at thigh height—ideal for subtly accentuating the legs while still allowing plenty of freedom of movement.
