Mindful Running: More focus while jogging: This is what mindful running brings you

Mindful running may be a vague term that many people understand differently, but above all it is about being present, explains Chevy Rough, mindfulness and performance coach in the ASICS Sound Mind Sound Body team from London, in an interview with “ Runner's World ”.
His colleague, Charles Oxley, adds why this awareness is so important for today: "90 percent of people lead very busy lives with a lot of stress and pressure. As they run from the office to the gym, they think about deadlines, appointments, and their families. So they arrive at the gym already stressed, where they exacerbate this stress further with the challenges of training."
Mindful Running is designed to address precisely this problem.
Mindful training can benefit not only your body awareness. A 2016 study published in the journal Translational Psychiatry, for example, shows that combining directed meditation with running or walking reduced symptoms of depression in depressed participants by 40 percent.
In addition, the team at ASICS Sound Mind Sound Bodyvom and the founders of Headspace are convinced that training can significantly improve your long-term physical performance. "It's basically the final frontier in physical training," says the co-founder of the meditation app.
Not only endurance plays a crucial role in running performance, but especially the right mindset.
"I think we're increasingly coming to the realization that there's a huge field that hasn't been sufficiently explored: the mind. But if you talk to any elite athlete, you'll hear that 90 percent of their performance is due to that," says Puddicombe.
According to “ Sportbuzzer ”, the joy of training is not lost either: By concentrating on the here and now instead of thinking about upcoming appointments or tasks, you can enjoy running more intensely.
