Press voice: 'Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung' on Ukraine

FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" on Ukraine:
"The fact that Zelensky has apparently succeeded in improving the conditions for the planned raw materials agreement with America in Ukraine's interests shows that there is no need to give in to Trump immediately. In principle, such an agreement is not a bad idea, after all, Zelensky himself proposed it. (.) Nevertheless, what Zelensky is now supposed to sign in Washington does not correspond to his "victory plan", as unrealistic as its complete fulfillment was. (.) Zelensky is making an advance payment in the hope that Trump will not completely abandon Ukraine in his breathtaking rapprochement with Putin. (.) But Trump is still too vague on the question of Ukraine's fate: How can Russia be effectively deterred after a ceasefire, if one were to come about?"/yyzz/DP/nas
