Things are happening on the Mercedes Board of Management, as the automaker is restructuring its leadership team. Markus Schäfer, Chief Technology Officer and Member of the Board of Management for Development and Purchasing, will be leaving. Jörg Burzer will assume his position at the beginning of December. Burzer has been a member of the Mercedes Board of Management since 2019 and is currently responsible for Production, Quality, and Supply Chain Management. His position will be taken over by Michael Schiebe, the former head of the luxury brand AMG.
