New residential quarter in Treptow-Köpenick: 120 apartments completed

The first construction phase of the new residential quarter on Johanna-Tesch-Straße in Treptow-Köpenick has been completed. The phase includes 120 modern apartments, which have been ready for occupancy since the beginning of February 2025, reported Development City Berlin. A further phase with 30 additional apartments is expected by 2026, which will create a total of around 150 apartments, announced Stadt und Land Wohnbauten-Gesellschaft mbH.
The apartments are currently being offered for rent, with 30 units already handed over to new tenants. Subsidized apartments can be rented for 6.80 euros per square meter, while privately financed units are available for a basic rent of 16.80 euros per square meter.
The district was designed with the aim of promoting low-barrier and barrier-free living. According to the city and state, all floors can be reached by elevator and the heat is supplied by district heating. Additional comfort is provided by rollator and stroller rooms on the ground floor and in the basement, as well as special bicycle storage rooms, which are also accessible by elevator. Ten car parking spaces, including one disabled parking space, are also available.
