When Matias Collan founded ACE Alternatives, it wasn't a coincidence, but rather the answer to a very specific need: "It was a pull effect: some fund managers we know, or who I knew from my time at Earlybird, asked me if I could support them with their fund operations." Collan himself brings with him a broad CV: positions at a major international law firm, as an investment banker at Lazard, Managing Director and Operating Partner at Earlybird, and Head of a Family Office in Luxembourg.
