Forecast: Rain, sleet and thunderstorms in Hesse
The final stretch of the weekend will be uncomfortable in some places in Hesse. Meteorologists from the German Weather Service (DWD) are expecting grey skies and rain in some areas, which will fall as snow in the mountains. The clouds will clear up in the afternoon, but there will be rain or sleet showers and isolated thunderstorms . The highest temperatures will be between 6 and 10 degrees, according to the DWD. It will also be slippery in places at night.
The forecast for Friday also calls for occasional showers, but these will ease towards the evening. It will also be partly to heavily cloudy, with a maximum of 5 to 8 degrees. There is also a risk of slippery conditions in some places on Saturday night.
The weekend will start on Saturday with grey skies and some scattered drizzle. As the day progresses, the clouds will gradually clear up, with maximum temperatures between 5 and 9 degrees. The outlook for Sunday is similar: with a maximum of 7 to 10 degrees, it will start off foggy and cloudy in some areas, but there will be no rain and later partly blue skies.
