Animal theft: Dozens of trout and carp stolen from ponds

Dozens of fish were stolen from two ponds on private property in Blankenrath (Cochem-Zell district). The unknown perpetrators also pumped out all the water from one of the two ponds, according to police. The perpetrators bent the fence to gain access to the secluded property. A total of around 40 trout and two carp were reportedly stolen between last Sunday and Thursday.
